Wealthy Affiliate Membership And The Principle Of Advancing Returns

If you are reading this, then I am going to assume that you already know what Wealthy Affiliate is.  If you don’t, then the crash course explanation would be “the best resource online for teaching you how to make money on the web”.  OK, now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s move on.

You’re probably not familiar with the concept of “advancing returns”.  Well, in order to discuss that, let’s talk about something you most likely are familiar with.  That would be the principle of “diminishing returns”.  Diminishing returns refers to a scenario where you are consistently investing resources into something that causes it to get better.  Continuing to invest in it causes it to continually get better, but the rate of improvement starts to slow down and eventually becomes slow enough to where further investment of resources is no longer worthwhile.  We’ve all worked with a situation like that and understand it.  You eventually get to a point where whatever project you are working on is as reasonably good as it is going to get and you realize that it is time to stop working on it and call it done.

OK, now let’s contrast that with the principle of advancing returns.  The principle of advancing returns is much more exciting because what it refers to is a project where the more time and resources you invest in it, it continually becomes exponentially more effective and improved.

So how does this relate to Wealthy Affiliate?  There are a couple of ways that the principle of advancing returns applies to Wealthy Affiliate.  The first, and my most favorite, is the affiliate program offered to the members of Wealthy Affiliate.  I like the program because it generates residual income.  I’ve elaborated on that aspect quite a bit in other posts so I won’t belabor the topic here.  The Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program is cool because the longer you work it and the longer you promote it, the greater your income becomes.  I also like it because it is one of the easiest things to get started promoting after you join.  You can get started right away doing promotions with free marketing methods that you learn at Wealthy Affiliate.

The second way that the principle of advancing returns relates to Wealthy Affiliate is the way that WA equips you to make money online through affiliate marketing in general.  Affiliate marketing is a business that, done right, will provide you with advancing returns.  That means that the longer you work your affiliate marketing business, the more money you will make.  No matter what level you achieve in affiliate marketing, there is always a next level to move on to.  And, at Wealthy Affiliate, there is always someone there to help you get to that next level.

It is exciting to realize that the internet offers us this opportunity to make ever increasing amounts of money.  With affiliate marketing, it is possible to earn the same amount you are making from your current “day job” and beyond!  That my friend illustrates the principle of advancing returns.

Now that brings me to another point.  When people begin to consider the Wealthy Affiliate educational opportunity, despite the fact that it is a very affordable $29 a month, people hesitate.  Often the hesitation lasts long enough to where they never join!  Sometimes they will join with the idea of remaining a member only for one month.  That way they can get in, glean all of the material they need, and then cut loose.  And all this is because they are somehow squeamish of paying for the membership.

To address this issue, it is important for me to bring up one very important point.  In order to succeed in affiliate marketing, you have to make a quality choice to succeed!  What does that mean?  It means you have to decide to make it work!  You have to decide to do whatever work is necessary to make it happen.  If you do this, it will pay off in spades.  OK, so what does this have to do with being squeamish about the membership fee?  Well, it’s this.  Particularly for people who won’t join because of the membership fee or for people who want to join just for one month; to have that attitude basically means that person is planning to fail.  What?  No!  That can’t be!  Why would anyone plan to fail?  Well, no one consciously does, but if you are squeamish about paying for an affiliate marketing education, then it means that you plan to fail.

Let me explain further.  If you invest yourself in doing the learning and applying yourself to your internet marketing business, then the principle of advancing returns will kick in for you and you will begin to make money.  The longer you work your business the amount of money you make each month will continue to increase.  Now, you may not be able to move to Beverly Hills next month, but I’m sure you can agree that consistent growth is a good thing.  When the principle of advancing returns starts working for you, the small monthly investment you are making in your affiliate marketing education at Wealthy Affiliate becomes nothing!  As a matter of fact, the more you work your business, your educational costs at Wealthy Affiliate become completely irrelevant.  You will be making much more money a month than you are spending to be a member at Wealthy Affiliate, that it will be more than worth it.

Do you think I’m kidding?  There is a Wealthy Affiliate member who is making $3,000 to $5,000 extra income a month through her affiliate marketing business utilizing only FREE methods of marketing!  That’s right!  She hasn’t quit her day job because she enjoys it.  But could YOU use an extra $3,000 to $5,000 a month?  If you had that income coming in would it provide you with the option of quitting your day job?  If so, without the distraction of a full time job, you will be able to focus on your affiliate marketing business even more and then, you guessed it, the principle of advancing returns will kick in even more!

I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate, and I am so glad I joined.  Like I said in another post, I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate for one reason.  Quite simply, it works for me.  It is teaching me how to make money online and I am beginning to see returns!  The traffic at my websites continues to grow (there’s that principle of advancing returns again) and along with additional traffic comes additional income.  I am truly excited about the possibility of one day being able to step out of my day job!  If you too have this dream, then I encourage you to give Wealthy Affiliate a look.  You will not regret it.  Don’t sweat the cost because it’s really not that much money.  Eliminate four fast food visits a month, and you’ve got it covered.  Heck, after you start learning and earning, the money you will be making will cover it anyway.  I covered my membership fee after marketing for only two weeks!

I know that someone in your position has to wonder if this works or not.  Is it all just a pipe dream?  Is it all just pie in the sky?  Is it just someone trying to sell me a line because they want my money?  I understand all of those hesitations.  The cool thing though is that in the General Success forum at Wealthy Affiliate we have people posting reports of their first sale!  It is like a light bulb going off for them!

I remember when I earned my first Wealthy Affiliate referral.  I totally freaked out!  Then I earned a second and then a third.  I thought 10 would be nearly impossible.  Now, just a month and a half later, I’ve made 38 sales!  And it’s steadily increasing!

Like I said, if you have dreams of making money online or would like to one day step out of your day job, I encourage you to give Wealthy Affiliate a look.  It costs less than your cell phone!

Giovanna of SEOBook Lashes Out At Wealthy Affiliate Promoter

An SEOBook member by the name of Giovanna expressed her feelings regarding my blog post Wealthy Affiliate Stands In Stark Contrast To Rich Jerk And SEOBook.  You can view her opinions on her blog here.

Now, if someone wants to disagree with me, or make me aware that I am misinformed, I will gladly welcome an amicable discussion.  However, what disturbs me about Ms. Giovanna’s blog post is the way she comes across like a middle school girl in a cat fight.  Yes, Ms. Giovanna clearly enjoys the sport of mud slinging.  I’m not going to encourage her further by mirroring her “tit for tat” approach, but I certainly am going to take the opportunity to respond to her allegations.

Ms. Giovanna says that I failed to convince her that Wealthy Affiliate, Rich Jerk, and SEOBook were from the same category.

My Response: Well, since I wasn’t trying to convince anyone that WA, RJ, and SEOBook are from the “same category” I guess it’s really not a failure.  Although I believe that the three have some things in common and deal with much of the same industry, actually I was trying to point out their differences.  That’s why I used the words “Stark Contrast” in the title of my blog post.

She says that she doesn’t see how Wealthy Affiliate is different from “hundreds of sites like it”.

My Response:  To begin with, there are not “hundreds” of sites like Wealthy Affiliate.  To my knowledge there are only two other membership sites that come remotely close.  I don’t believe that there are “hundreds of sites” like Wealthy Affiliate, and even if there were, I would never believe that Ms. Giovanna has evaluated them all thus making her qualified to say they are all the same.  If she has, then she is indeed an impressive researcher.  I think we can safely throw this remark of hers into the “mud slinging” category.

She states that the “pop up” that “attacked her screen” prevented her from clicking on the Wealthy Affiliate link to review Wealthy Affiliate further.

My Response:  I don’t have any pop ups on my website.  Perhaps Ms. Giovanna has some malicious adware on her PC.

She claims that I “dismissed” SEOBook with just a short paragraph.

My Response:  I didn’t dismiss anything.  All I said was that I could not provide a review of SEOBook because I can’t afford to join up for $100 a month.  It’s that simple.  And, yes, I’ve heard lots of positive things about SEOBook.  As a matter of fact, I’m very much interested in the material and would welcome the opportunity to be a member.  However, that kind of monthly membership fee does not fit into my cashflow right now.  And besides, Wealthy Affiliate only costs me $29 a month and provides me with more educational resources than I know what to do with.

She says that she doesn’t know where I got the information that SEOBook was free.

My Response:  I realize that I may not have been very clear on that point, so allow me to clarify.  According to what I was told on an online forum, there is an actual ebook called SEOBook.  It is my understanding that for quite some time this ebook had been available for free.  The forum post continued to say that the ebook could no longer be had for free because it was now part of material that was included in a membership site at SEOBook.com.  Ms. Giovanna, if I’m misinformed please just tell me that I’m misinformed.  I will willingly retract and correct any information I may have posted that is incorrect.

She claims that I was “hard-selling” my readers, that I related that the other products were “terrible”, and failed to say anything positive about the subject that I was “lambasting and destroying”.  She claimed that my attempt to call the reader to action was all wrong.

My Response:  The only “call to action” that I had was to recommend to my readers that they compare the three for themselves.  So confident am I that Wealthy Affiliate is most likely going to be a great resource for your average person looking to make money online, that when people evaluate the three for themselves, they will come to the same conclusion that I came to.

I never said that any of the other products were “terrible”.  Regarding SEOBook, I only commented that I have heard good things about it.  Although in my opinion it’s probably a little pricey for your average internet marketer.  Maybe the Fortune 500 companies find it useful, but Wealthy Affiliate is a resource that will be much more cost effective for most people.

She claims that because I am a Wealthy Affiliate member that my opinion is biased.

My Response:  Well of course I am biased!  I’ve done the evaluation for myself and determined which product was the best fit for me personally and that is Wealthy Affiliate.  Since that is the conclusion I arrived at, I strongly suspect that Wealthy Affiliate will be a good fit for others as well.  That’s why I recommend it.  If you’re going to get a recommendation on a product, wouldn’t you prefer to get it from someone who has tried the product for themselves?  That would probably be better than someone who has never tried the product.

OK, so let me just stop and address this issue.  Those of us that promote Wealthy Affiliate get this thrown in our faces from time to time.  Basically the idea is that because we are WA members and since we earn commissions from promoting the program, our opinions must be totally invalid because we are only promoting it for the money.  Well, like I’ve said before, that’s just an attitude that I will have to tolerate for promoting a product I believe in.

The reason I promote Wealthy Affiliate is simple.  It works for me.  I’m learning a lot and it is helping me begin to make money online.  I am not interested in making money by promoting digital “snake oil”.  Since I am personally confident that Wealthy Affiliate offers a good value, I can promote it with a clear conscience.  As a matter of fact, I have a blog post dealing with that very issue.

She claims I failed as an internet marketer because I made absolutely false statements.

My Response:  Like I said, if I am misinformed, please tell me.  I will retract anything I said that was incorrect.  For the most part my blog post was an opinion piece.  The only factoid I provided that could prove to be false was that the SEOBook ebook used to be free.  If that was never the case, then I have definitely been misinformed.

She claims that my comparison of three different products “further dimmed my substandard ability to determine relevancy”.

My Response:  I intentionally chose three products that are very different.  As of right now, I’m not interested in comparing products that are nearly identical.

Following Giovanna’s blog post two people (as of this writing) have posted comments.  The first comment is from a person that states that he wants the link so he can take a look at my “POS”.  He then sarcastically corrects himself by saying “piece of work”.  He then indicated that he was writing this before he ever had a chance to read my blog post.  The second person made a comment stating that I am a “frigtard”.

My Response:  Pretty classy friends you have there Ms. Giovanna.  I hope that the rest of the SEOBook members aren’t like them or you.

Now I have to direct a statement to Mr. Aaron Wall.  I realize that the comment I made about you being proud of your product because you charge $100 a month for it may have come across a bit snide.  That was not my intention, and if you feel that way, please accept my apology.  I know that I would be pretty proud if I had a membership product that I could sell for $100 a month.  Additionally, I’ve seen some of your videos and you seem to be a very intelligent and amicable person.  Maybe we’ll get the chance to meet someday.

I’m not going to hold Giovanna’s comments against Mr. Wall, nor am I going to assume that they reflect the opinions and attitudes of all SEOBook members.  Just like we have all learned recently that Barak Obama cannot be held accountable for the remarks made by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, likewise Aaron Wall and all SEOBook members cannot be held accountable for the comments of Giovanna.  Mr. Wall, I’m sure that Giovanna meant well, but I hope the rest of your faithful followers are a bit nicer.

Wealthy Affiliate Holds The Promise Of Residual Income

If you’re not familiar with what Wealthy Affiliate is, then let me give you a brief explanation before proceeding further.  Wealthy Affiliate is an educational resource that is provided for the purpose of teaching people how to make money online with affiliate marketing.  It is one of the most respected resources of its kind on the web.  By taking advantage of the resources available there, you can learn how to make money online with any of numerous affiliate programs that are available from various merchants.  The principles of promoting any given affiliate program are the same, but the number of affiliate programs you can choose from is almost limitless.

Which brings me to my next point.  Not only can you promote any of countless affiliate programs outside of wealthy affiliate, but wealthy affiliate has its own affiliate program as well.  I am particularly fond of this particular affiliate program as it has one feature that is not commonly found in most other affiliate programs.  The feature I am speaking of is that of residual income.

What is residual income?  Good question!  Residual income is a type of income that you work towards making an initial sale but get paid several times after that.  Insurance is one example of this type of income.  Take, for example, your auto insurance agent.  He sells auto insurance policies.  You purchase a policy from him, and he gets paid a commission from that sale.  Most likely you are going to keep that policy for a number of years.  Each year after that when you renew your policy, your insurance agent makes a commission on your policy again.  So as you can see, the longer an insurance agent works his business, he accumulates more policies which pay him numerous times and his income can grow significantly year after year.  That is why so many insurance agents are making very good money.

Insurance is just one example of residual income.  There are many other types of goods and services that can be sold that also create residual income.  The affiliate program available at wealthy affiliate also holds the promise of residual income.

Before I go further, let me reiterate the distinct advantage of residual income.  With residual income, you can continue to get paid even through periods where you may not be working to earn that income!  That is because you are continuing to receive commissions from sales that you worked for in the past.  That is the beauty of it.

There are other affiliate programs out there that do not provide residual income.  While they are very legitimate programs as well, they lack the advantage of continual earnings from established customers.

This is the main reason that I promote the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program and I encourage others to do so as well.  You see, this type of affiliate program has the potential to provide a much more steady and stable income for you, so it is very well worth investing your time into building up a business such as this.

I have been promoting wealthy affiliate for a couple of months now, and am beginning to see some nice results.  Since I know the the effects of residual income will only cause my income to become larger month after month, I am especially well pleased.  The fact that residual income based affiliate programs have the potential to provide continual stable income is a fact that cannot be ignored.  If you are looking to build an income stream through affiliate marketing, I highly recommend that you include a residual income based affiliate program in your portfolio of programs that you promote.

Why I Will Be A Wealthy Affiliate Member For Life

I’ve been applying much of what I have learned at Wealthy Affiliate for a couple of months now and am very pleased with the results.  At the end of this month, I will receive a commission payment for over $400.  That’s right.  Right now my approved balance in the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program is $406.  I hope to make that number be above $500 before the end of the month.  And just to think that this is just the beginning!  I mean, I’m basically a newbie who is still figuring out what he is doing.  So if someone can stumble through the beginning stages of learning to walk on his affiliate marketing legs and make between $400 and $500, when the future is looking mighty bright!

It amazes me when I see people on internet forums saying that they plan on joining Wealthy Affiliate for one month and then they are going to quit.  The idea here is that they will join long enough to get copies of all of the educational materials within and then they can cut loose as they then feel that they have gotten all they can from Wealthy Affiliate.

OK, I like to be a nice guy, but in this case I just have to be blunt.  These people are CRAZY!  They are definitely the low IQ population of the internet marketing world.  Basically what these people are doing is they are deciding to fail before they even join!  If you feel you have to discontinue your Wealthy Affiliate membership because you no longer want to pay the $29 a month membership fee, then you are simply saying in advance one of the following things:

  • I don’t plan on doing the work necessary to succeed.

  • I plan on being poor for the rest of my life.

  • I’m never going to be successful at any kind of affiliate marketing but I’m going to continue dreaming about it.

  • I’m a moron with pathetically poor capacities for reasoning.

Being successful at affiliate marketing begins with a quality decision to make it happen!

To be honest with you, for me to explain all of the reasons Wealthy Affiliate is worth far more than the membership fee is beyond the scope of what I am wanting to accomplish with this blog post.  So I will forego that here.  If you are wondering about that, then the information you are looking for exists here in other posts on my blog.

The title of this blog post is “Why I Will Be A Wealthy Affiliate Member For Life”.  The reason for that is so simple.  I’m making money with it!  I’d be crazy to quit being a member!  I absolutely love their affiliate program for a couple of reasons, such as: the longer you work at it, your monthly income grows larger month after month; and, the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program holds the promise of residual income.  That means that when I refer people to become members of Wealthy Affiliate, I will receive a monthly commission on their membership for as long as they remain a member.  You see, I can work for the sale once, and then get paid several times after that.  I love that!

People who say that they are wary of having to pay the monthly membership fee because they could use that money somewhere else are missing the whole point.  The whole point of affiliate marketing is to have an ever increasing income!  That means that as time goes on, the Wealthy Affiliate membership fee becomes smaller and smaller and smaller and more trivial.

People who say that they are going to join for a month and then quit are planning to fail!  I strongly recommend that you steer yourself clear of that attitude!  Make a quality decision to make it happen!  I earned my membership fee back in two weeks after applying what I had learned.  You can too!
