Recent actions by some of the major players in the affiliate marketing and seo community very clearly show the superiority and value of Wealthy Affiliate. Two other resources available that I’d like to take a closer look at are the Rich Jerk and the SEOBook membership sites. Essentially what I’m going to do here is compare Wealthy Affiliate, Rich Jerk, and SEOBook and see how they stack up against one another.
Rich Jerk
First let’s talk about the Rich Jerk. The Rich Jerk is a nameless and well known internet entrepreneur that makes a lot of money marketing his products. The uniqueness of his approach is that he tries to stand out by being abrasive and rude in the manner in which he conducts his marketing. I recently went to the Rich Jerk’s website to check out what he has to offer. His first product that he tries to sell you is the Rich Jerk ebook. This is the ebook that he has been selling for quite some time now. I know that in the past it has sold for as much as $97, then $47, then $19, and now it’s down to $9. For all I know, he may have been selling it for $197 at one point . I don’t know for sure. If you know, please feel free to enlighten me.
I visited the Rich Jerk’s website and broke down and bought his book. I mean, since it’s down to only $9, it’s a small price to pay for research. Not only that, but he’s also selling an mp3 audio version of his book for an additional 10 bucks. I broke down and bought that too. I’ve read the book, so I can give you a report. Is the book worth it? Well, at some points it was kind of entertaining, but I really didn’t learn anything that I hadn’t already learned at Wealthy Affiliate. The interesting thing to note about the Rich Jerk’s ebook is that it has more affiliate links in it than any publication I’ve ever seen. He recommends countless other products for you to invest in to get your internet marketing going. An additional point of interest is that he offers some “free” websites to help you make money. The only thing you have to do to take advantage of these free websites is to purchase a hosting plan through, you guessed it, the Rich Jerk’s affiliate link. This is a web hosting plan where you have to invest almost $200 at one pop for a full year’s worth of web hosting services. Basically, what that means is that the Rich Jerk makes a commission off of your web hosting plan when you take advantage of his “free” websites. He doesn’t offer to provide you the “free” websites for free so you can go host the sites on a different host of your choice. In my opinion, with as many affiliate links that the Rich Jerk has packed into his book, he should be giving it away for free.
After you’ve purchased the ebook, you become a member of his forum. I suppose that there may be some useful information in there, but I was disappointed to log on to see people still wondering how to make things work. I mean, if his book was so great, then it should be working for everyone, right? Additionally, once you are a member, he tries to cross sell you into buying “Rich Jerk Evolution” for which he is now charging $99.95 a year. About a month and a half ago, I was looking at this offer and it was priced in the neighborhood of $360 a year if you paid for it all at once. If you didn’t pay for it all at once, then you had to pay more. Why is it only $100 now? Well, I guess he learned that people weren’t going to pay his ridiculous price. I don’t know about you, but I’d be ticked if I was one of those people that paid the $360 fee for access only to see it quickly changed to $100. If you ask me, it sounds like the Rich Jerk probably isn’t as rich as he says he is and he is in desperate need of some coin. Is this someone you really want to trust to teach you how to make money online?
SEOBook
Next, I’d like to talk about SEOBook. From what I understand, this is an online search engine optimization resource that used to be free. I had heard really good things about it and unfortunately before I was able to get over there and take a look at the free ebook, the owner of the site, Aaron Wall, decided to change his site over to a paid membership type of site. I went over to his site to check it out only to be disappointed to find that Mr. Wall wants $100 a month to be a member! YIKES! Long story short, I can’t review his material for you because I didn’t join. I don’t know what’s available in there, but apparently Aaron Wall is very proud of it. If you want to chance it and pop 100 bucks to check out the material, then please let me know what you think of it. For now I’m going to have to pass.
Wealthy Affiliate
Last but not least, we come to Wealthy Affiliate. It amazes me how misunderstood Wealthy Affiliate is. People somehow still have a problem understanding what it is. Wealthy Affiliate is a membership website with a complex set of multifaceted educational resources and internet marketing tools that teach and equip you to begin making money online. Additionally, Wealthy Affiliate is a meeting place for a community of people that are making money online. These are good people to be friends with. Evaluating the Rich Jerk and SEOBook is enough to make anybody want to run to Wealthy Affiliate and sign up. I don’t need to say much to convince you which is best. All you have to do is start looking and compare what’s out there and you’ll see for yourself. If you are interested in making money online, then personally I recommend you give Wealthy Affiliate a look.

[...] was amused and a bit irked by this irrelevant and disturbing spam post from a fluff website promoting Wealthy Affiliate. I enjoy reading material plagued with disconnects [...]
Obviously there is a perception that SEOBook rules why Rich Jerk does not. Proably much in part to the fact that the brand rests heavily on the public awareness of the expertise of the founders. SEObook = aaron wall, seo guru. Rich Jerk = some mysterious guy.
While I foudn the rich jerk ebook simplistic, I was not really impressed with seo book either from my perspective as an experienced online marketer. For newbies, either is okay, but of course SEObook is probably 3 times better. I dont have qualms with affiliate links in the ebook as long as the author promotes things or real value and gives links where deserved.
