Wealthy Affiliate Marketing Review

I realized that I probably needed to write a post about this when it occurred to me that many people haven’t been reading my blog posts sequentially. If you haven’t read all of my posts, let me catch you up on current events.

I began working my way through the training material at Wealthy Affiliate about three weeks ago, and began implementing some of the free marketing methods that I was learning simply to get my feet wet. To be honest with you, I wasn’t expecting anything to happen. However, a few days later, I received an email notifying me that I had earned my first Wealthy Affiliate commission. That was a surprise that I was not expecting. Then a few days later, I received yet another email notifying me that I had earned my second Wealthy Affiliate commission. Cool!

This is very significant information for those of you who have been considering joining Wealthy Affiliate but have not brought yourself to make that commitment yet. The reason my experience is significant for you is because it shows how little you have to do before you earn enough commission to cover the cost of your membership. If two people become members through one of your links, then those two commissions practically cover the cost of your membership (shy of just about a dollar or two).

So the point to be made here is if you’ve been considering joining Wealthy Affiliate, don’t let the cost hold you back. I earned these two commissions in just over two weeks, and I didn’t even know what I was doing! It’s not hard. It’s a small but manageable hurdle. All you have to do is earn two commissions and you will be making enough money to pay for your membership.

If you have been contemplating joining Wealthy Affiliate but have been holding off because you are wary of paying the $29 a month membership fee, then wait no longer.  I know the title of this article sounds sensational, but it is completely legitimate and true.  I know, because I have accomplished this very thing myself.  In a period of just over two weeks, I was able to apply some free marketing methods that have allowed me to earn monthly recurring commissions that pay for my Wealthy Affiliate membership.  Here is how it happened.

What makes this all so very cool is that when you earn commissions by marketing the Wealthy Affiliate membership, it is a residual income, that gets paid to you each month.  That means that for as long as these two individuals are members, I will be earning enough commission to pay for my own membership!  And I accomplished that in only 16 days.  Now, of course, you know that I will continue to work the free methods so I can earn even more commissions.  So in due time, I will be making even more money than is required to cover my membership.  Not only that, but I also have the satisfaction of knowing that I helped some fortunate people find the best training they can possibly get in learning how to make money online!

So how can I write an article with such a sensational title?  Because I have done it myself.  Not only that, but it was indeed truly easy, and took very little time.  Like I said, I wasn’t even expecting any commissions to come in.  I can not help but wonder what it is going to be like when I really go for it!

In the Wealthy Affiliate forum there is a subforum called “General Success”.  This forum contains posts where members can post their successes for the encouragement of all.   Since I am a Wealthy Affiliate member, I have access to the forum.  Some of the stories in there are simply spectacular.  I thought I would share some of them with you so you could get an idea of what is possible for someone just starting out.  Some of these people have only been a Wealthy Affiliate member for one to three weeks!  This is just plain old cut and paste from the members only forum.  So consider yourself privileged.  Here they are:

Today had been my BEST IM day in my short 3 and a half month Internet Marketing Career.
My total CB sales for today is $372.63!!! I am one sale away from a $400 day!
To be honest I am totally shocked! I knew it was possible - but not for me!

So as the page loads Im thinking in my head “Come on just one sale, please!”. The page gets done loading and WHAM!! 6 sales for a total of $102.49. Woot my first $100 day. I wasnt expecting to see this untill next month at the earliest, maybe even March. I about fell out of my chair when i started screaming out loud and bouncing around. Alright so 4 panels down with 1 more and 2 CB accounts to go. I log into the last panel which has yet to have a sale because again I have done nothing to promote this site yet. KABOOM my first sale for $47.77. Bringing my total for the day to $150.26. OMFG!!!! My first $100 and $150 day in the same day. I thought I was about to faint.

Just 3 days here and I got my first sale last night with PPC. Made $40 and spent $8 so a $32 profit.

OK, so regarding this question about whether or not Wealthy Affiliate works,  I’m not even going to give you any commentary.  You decide for yourself.  I do, however, recommend that you do not let yourself miss out on the wealth of information within the Wealthy Affiliate website that is making this possible.

If you’re just checking in, I am blogging regarding my experience with my Wealthy Affiliate membership. I hope you find the posts useful.

Last night I was reading through more of the 8 Week Action Plan material. I learned something, but I guess that’s the point right? No, actually, I learned something, or rather realized something, that was not in the plan. As I was reading through the plan, I was learning all sorts of things, which I rather enjoyed; but I realized something else.

I’ve actually come up with what I would recommend to be a small modification to the 8 Week Action Plan. You see, when you first start the plan, you are encouraged to dive into the members only forum, introduce yourself, leave at least three posts in the forum, read through the stickies in the $500 Challenge forum, etc. So, like a good trainee, I followed the recommendation and did quite a bit of reading in the forum. Naturally, reading about other people’s experiences and successes is quite fascinating.

The thing is, however, that when you read through the forums, you get really excited like a little kid in a candy store and just want to jump right in and start doing some marketing. Unless you are using free methods of marketing, it can be somewhat risky to do that at this early point in your training. Another issue that you are confronted with when reading through the forum is you have about a thousand questions pop into your head. I was perplexed because I didn’t understand half of what everyone was talking about. I was compelled to start posting all of my questions in the forum, and I could see other newbies posting similar questions in the forum as well. I refrained from posting questions because the number of questions I had seemed overwhelming. And, I knew that those questions would beget other questions which would beget other questions and so on and so forth.

With somewhat of a sigh of resignation, I decided to just get back to working through the material in the 8 Week Action Plan. At this point, I’m finishing up the Week 2 material and moving into the Week 3 material. As I continued working through the 8 Week Action Plan, the realization that I had was almost comical. All of my questions were being answered by the material in the 8 Week Action Plan! Imagine that!

I was thinking, “Cool, now I don’t have to post all of these questions in the forum.” After that, as you can imagine, I was even more motivated to continue working through the 8 Week Action Plan as I realized that the vast majority of my questions would be answered. The 8 Week Action Plan really is quite comprehensive, which I guess is the whole point. The material there was covered so thoroughly, that I found myself having very few if any at all questions unanswered.

So, the moral of the story kids is this: Just stick to the plan. That’s what it’s there for.

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog posts, you know that I’ve had a couple of exciting days recently. Namely those have been the days that I received email notifications of my first and second Wealthy Affiliate sales commissions. The cool thing about it, to be quite frank, was that I wasn’t really expecting any sales to come through. Rather, I was just working my way through the Wealthy Affiliate material, blogging, writing a few articles, etc. and since then, a couple of people have signed up for Wealthy Affiliate through some of the material that I have put out there.

Another reason that it was such a surprise was that deep down inside, I really didn’t believe it was going to work. You know what I mean? Even though you sign up for Wealthy Affiliate and begin looking at the material, there’s that subconscious voice in your head that says, “this won’t work for me”, “this only works for other people who know secrets that I don’t.” So I was just sort of half-heartedly forcing myself to go through the motions and I got some sales! Weird.

On the Wealthy Affiliate forum, Kyle, one of the founders, made the comment to me regarding my experience that the first time you get a sale you wonder if it was a fluke. The second time you get a sale, you know it’s not a fluke. The third time you get a sale, you know you’re on your way. Another forum member challenged me to set my next goal to be at 10 sales. To be honest with you, 10 sales sounds like a very lofty goal for me right now, but I think it’s a good goal to shoot for. I mean, why set your sights low, y’know?

I’ve been putting some articles out on the web, and even a couple of blog posts where I’m pushing Wealthy Affiliate pretty hard. In some ways it seems like shameless promotion, but the truth of the matter is that I sincerely believe what I’m saying when I encourage people to join. When I say, “do yourself a favor, quit putting it off, join Wealthy Affiliate today”, I know it sounds like sales propaganda, but I truly believe that you can do it if you commit to work your way through the material.

After jumping up and down and whooping and hollering about it for a couple of days, I just felt like it was time for me to calm down and do a regular blog post again, so here it is.

I’m stoked! It was just 16 days ago that I started my blog and committed to working my way through the training materials at Wealthy Affiliate. Nine days into the process, I received an email notifying me that someone had signed up for Wealthy Affiliate through one of my links. That was cool! The thing is, however, that after you make that first sale, you begin to ask yourself, Was it just a fluke? Did I just get lucky? When you’re inexperienced, you can’t help but wonder about these things.

I was like a little kid jumping up and down with excitement over my second sale as I shared the news with everyone on the forum.

While you look at these events that have occurred for me, you have to realize that I’m just in the beginning phases of figuring out what I’m doing. I’m a totally green rookie. And yet, my promotional efforts have slowly started to bring in sales. So naturally I’m going to work on fine tuning what I’m already doing to make it even more effective.

If you’ve been wondering whether Wealthy Affiliate is legit or asking yourself “does Wealthy Affiliate work?”, well I’m here to tell you that you can’t argue with success. Do you consider making one sale 9 days after beginning the training program and then a second sale 7 days later successful? I do. If I can do this while I’m stumbling around trying to find my affiliate marketing legs, then you can too!

I would have never achieved even this small amount of success without Wealthy Affiliate. I’m not very good at figuring things out on my own, but give me a guide and show me a method that has been effective for success and I can take that and run with it. If you’re like me, you’re not going to figure it out on your own either and you need a guide. The cool thing is that the guide is available and just waiting for you to dive in! Imagine how excited you will feel when you check your email one day and get a message informing you that you just made a sale! If you’re here reading this, then no doubt you’re someone who has been wondering if the whole internet affiliate marketing thing is truly possible or if it’s just a bunch of hype fabricated to get you to part with your money.

I’m still working my way through the wealth of materials and resources at the Wealthy Affiliate website. It’s going to take some time. Having said that though, I’d like to emphasize a point that I made in a prior blog post that is very important. I realized that I don’t have to wait until I’ve worked all the way through the material to get started marketing online. The same goes for you. The eight weeks of the Action Plan can seem daunting for someone who wants to make money NOW, so you’ve got to realize that you can do both of these tasks at the same time. Which two tasks am I talking about? They are: Learning and Marketing.

Getting back to my point, I’ve been working my way through the tasks presented in the 8 week action plan. One of those tasks is to read through the posts in the $500 Challenge Forum.

On the Wealthy Affiliate website, the creators, Kyle and Carson, have set up a forum and a contest. This contest is for people who are already members of Wealthy Affiliate. The contest is to create the most helpful forum post. This would be a post that effectively communicates some excellent information regarding how to achieve success with affiliate marketing. For this contest, the $500 Challenge Forum was set up. This is the forum into which members submit their posts for consideration. After a designated period of time, one post gets chosen as the winner and the writer of that post is awarded $500.

So, as directed by the 8 Week Action plan, I was reading through some of the posts in the $500 Challenge forum. I read through several posts, and many of them were excellent. One post, however, sticks out in my mind. This is a post submitted by a member that contains 5 or 6 videos demonstrating how to create web pages for your marketing campaigns in under 10 minutes.

So why is this valuable? Two reasons immediately come to mind. 1. Doing any kind of internet or affiliate marketing requires you to be able to create web sites and pages. Often, this is a stumbling point for many people where their progress stops. 2. Being able to observe how someone does this in a video helps you to learn extremely fast, much faster than trying to read through a tutorial.

After reading through this post and watching the videos (which took me about an hour), I sat back and said to myself, “Wow, that’s worth the cost of the membership right there.”

You see, as I said before, in order to succeed in affiliate marketing you have to be able to create web pages. This is something that you have to be able to do quickly and repeatedly.
